About Bloomfield
A client-centred practice providing evidence-based psychological support to children, adolescents, adults, and families.
Our work focuses on thorough assessment, targeted intervention, and meaningful therapeutic outcomes within a professional, carefully considered environment.
We combine clinical expertise with a thoughtful, person-centred approach, ensuring each individual is understood in context and supported in a way that is both effective and sustainable.
This includes a strong preventative focus, supporting individuals not only in resolving current challenges, but in strengthening long-term psychological wellbeing.
Our Mission
To deliver high-quality, evidence-based psychological care that supports emotional wellbeing, strengthens functioning, and creates meaningful, lasting change.
Our Vision
To be recognised as a leading psychology centre in the region, known for clinical excellence, ethical practice, and consistently effective outcomes for individuals, families, and the wider community.
Our Approach
At Bloomfield, our approach combines the warmth and acceptance of Person-Centred Therapy with the practical, evidence-based strategies of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). We believe meaningful change occurs when clients feel genuinely understood while also gaining effective tools to navigate challenges. CBT often provides the framework for understanding and changing unhelpful patterns of thinking and behaviour, while our person-centred foundation ensures therapy remains collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to the individual. Where beneficial, we may also integrate elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), attachment-informed approaches, and other evidence-based interventions.
