Neurodevelopmental Assessments in Dubai
Understanding how someone thinks, learns, and processes the world around them can be genuinely transformative.
A clear assessment does more than identify difficulties. It provides a framework for understanding, a language for experience, and a foundation for meaningful support.
At Bloomfield, we offer evidence-based neurodevelopmental assessments for children, adolescents, and adults. Our approach is thorough, affirming, and strengths-focused, designed to provide clarity, not just conclusions.
This reflects something we believe deeply. People are best supported when they feel genuinely understood, and no one exists in isolation. Children, adolescents and adults are shaped by their families, schools and workplaces, so our assessments consider the whole person and the environments they live, learn and work in.
Neurodevelopmental Assessments for Adults & Children
Neurodevelopmental differences such as ADHD and autism are often first considered in childhood, but many adults reach adulthood without ever having been assessed. Some come to Bloomfield after recognising long-standing patterns in themselves, others after a diagnosis in their own child prompts a closer look at their own experience.
While the assessment tools and approach remain largely the same across ages, what differs is the context. In children, assessment draws heavily on developmental history and input from parents and teachers, alongside direct observation and testing. In adults, assessment centres more on lived experience, including how difficulties have shaped work, relationships, and daily functioning over time, alongside a detailed developmental and family history. Where relevant, a partner or family member may also be included in the process.
Whether you are seeking assessment for yourself or for your child, our clinicians tailor the process to the person in front of them.

Our Assessment Process
Initial Consultation
We begin by understanding the individual's history, concerns, and goals. Where appropriate, we gather input from parents, teachers, or other professionals involved in their care.
Assessment Sessions
Sessions draw on standardised testing, structured interviews, questionnaires, observations, and developmental or learning-based tasks, selected and adapted to the individual's age, profile, and purpose of referral.
Feedback Session
A dedicated session for clients and families to discuss findings, ask questions, and understand what the results mean in practical terms. We believe understanding is where meaningful support begins.
Comprehensive Written Report
A full written report outlining strengths, areas of need, and practical recommendations for home, school, work, and everyday life.
Our Approach
We go beyond identifying what is present. We help individuals and families understand what it means, why it matters, and what steps may help, translating clinical findings into something actionable and human.
